Kenny Burkhead is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) based in Overland Park, Kansas. He works with business owners who are successful on paper but still carrying all the complexity and risk of their business alone.

He grew up in the construction and GC world. His father spent his career at BRB Contractors in Topeka, Kansas — starting as an estimator, moving through project management, rising to Executive Vice President, and serving on the board as one of the original private shareholders. Kenny watched that full arc up close: the bids, the jobs, the margins, the ownership conversations, the board decisions. That ground-level view — at every level of the business — gave him a clear picture of what actually drives value in a GC or trades company, and what a sophisticated buyer or lender is really evaluating.
